Is the Wynn hotel a good place and area to party in the summer?

I'll be staying in Wynn in June 15 - 17 with three other friends and were looking to arty, have fun and just relax and I got a good deal for the room for $ 450 for 2 nights in the panoramic view room with 2 Queen beds but I was wondering if I made a right choice? It's on the strip in a very good location but is it too far away from the party scene?
