Can you connect USB Storage Devices to the iPad 2?

Hello. So I'm looking into the iPad 2 right now. I am actually stranger to this tech and I just wanna know, before I actually decide to get one soon, if you can connect a USB flash drive, hard disk, and similar devices to it. Please?
