Jensen Jims 211-i HELP!?

My Jensen Jims 211-i ihome isn't working. The device is plugged in at the wall outlet (which works just fine I have other items plugged into it) and it is also plugged in at the auxiliary outlet in the back. It acts like it's off when it's plugged in. If I press the auxiliary plug harder into the outlet the lights show up and it works. Or when I spin the auxiliary plug a certain way it works too. I honestly don't know how to fix it. Does anybody??? It was a gift, it's only a year old. It worked yesterday morning. It has fresh batteries in it................................:(
