Teaching violin to a 7 year old?

For holding the bow, you should show her how to do it correctly and ask if you could do the same. If she does, then give her a half-five. Usually they will outgrow it and be more serious. I think you should be a little more serious on her because when I was 7 I was already playing Chopin on the violin. Otherwise, you sound like your a loving teacher for kids which is good for kids.
