You seem pretty bright. You have quite a few remarkable observations for a 15 year old, and it sounds to me as if your grandpa is just looking at things from experience. (I'm guessing that he is the father of your father, not your mother) Perhaps your dear old pops might have been a bit of a trouble-maker at your age, hence the suspicion of the bags and the overall nosiness. You'll see as time goes on that, sadly, life doesn't always treat people fairly, and that some people, (I am guessing here, too) perhaps your grandfather, carry some resentment of that unfairness for many, many years. That can cause some mannerisms to grow over time to be more than just a bit extreme. I am sorry to hear that your living situation is rough atm, but, and hear me out, if he is concerned that a bright granddaughter of his isn't showing the potential that he suspects she has, he may be concerned with her future, and truly for her own good. As for running away, I would stay for your younger sister. Just some things to consider
