Help me!! Headphones for my cell phone?

I need to buy headphones so that I can listen to my music on my phone.Which type/brand/specs should I look for? I keep buying wrong ones; they fit into the computer or portable devices, but not my phone because the connector is too fat. I don't want to spend a lot because I won't use them often; and where can I buy them. Thanks.
